It’s time for a rebrand! I’ve been contemplating this move for quite a while now and have really struggled with finding the right name to truly encapsulate me as a person. Having had @TheDividendBoss for over four years it feels like now is the right time to change things up. In the past 12 months, at a point where I felt let down and disillusioned with the NFT space, I’ve been fortunate enough to enter the @Azuki ecosystem, am a bullish holder of @finalbosuX, an OG at @goodvibesclub and an Early Fugger/holder of @FugzOfficial. What do these brands all have in common? IP + Top-Tier transparent founders. It’s what makes me tick! I’m looking to expand and build my online brand and needed to have a name that encapsulated more than just my investment interests. After much brainstorming and internal conflict, I settled on ‘Shugyō’. I’ve always been fascinated with Japanese culture and have recently expanded my love to anime. It just feels right! What is Shugyō…..? Like most words they have many meanings, but I’m going with this explanation: A rigorous, disciplined path of self-mastery, often spiritual, mental, or physical. To break it up more distinctly, I found the below helpful: (shu): discipline, training, study (gyō): journey, path, action, practice I feel like this really represents me as a person while also allowing for growth and learning, something I’m a huge fan of! I’m really excited to see what I can achieve over the coming months, but I know I’m on the right path, surrounded by the right people! LFV 🤙🏻🤙🏻

@kickzeth @waleswoosh I just think it’s massively disappointing when you have someone with a large following like yourself being so dismissive about a brand that has done nothing but good things for abstract. I made a point purely because you were dismissive.

@kickzeth @waleswoosh How can you be a flagship NFT brand on Abstract when they aren’t interested in NFTs? Secondly, it’s clear that there are a small portion of farmers that have now sold, but the majority are holders who care and believe in the Fugz brand.

@chefgoose I never understand why people have to be so negative. Things happen, people move jobs, houses, countries etc. A business changing something because they believe it’s in the interests of their brand and their holders is just another life decision.

@kickzeth @waleswoosh Yet they were more than happy to ride on the coat tails when the mint went well and the FP was higher than finalbosu. I noticed you used OCH, not Monsters.Fun that you marketed the hell out of ….. 60% now, down 20% in the last two months. That says it all.

@waleswoosh I remember one of the founders of Abstract describing the brand pre-launch as ‘The Disneyland of Web3’. They literally pivoted and turned into ‘Las Vegas’, focused on gambling, pyramid schemes purely to make cash, all the while turning their back on NFTs.

NFT collections or projects leaving Abstract - or any L2 for that matter - isn't really a problem imo. That is, unless they're vital to the ecosystem or serve as a kind of mascot for the chain. Fugz leaving Abstract isn't too big of a hit. It would be different if Bearish or On-Chain Heroes bridged to mainnet. Same goes for BadBunnz in the MegaETH ecosystem. And to some extent for Steady Teddys when they decided to leave Berachain. Unless it's a key player or a mass exodus of projects, it's more of a CT headline than a real issue

@krsmece77699 @PhanGu_ABS 😂 they have about 50, it’s hard to keep track. To be fair, I don’t dislike abstract. For a long time I was a huge supporter but lost faith when they pivoted from ‘Disneyland’ to ‘Las Vegas’

All the haters coming out of the woods to dunk on Abstract because projects that aren’t contributing much to the network besides living off XP are leaving proves the move made by the Abstract team was right. Now liquidity can flow to projects that actually deserve it.✳️

I understand that the ‘hot topic’ is always the best engagement trick, but I see some people with such dumb takes and nasty tweets and it is really disappointing. Not even gonna tag here but deciding to move a collection from one chain to another is not an easy call to make, it comes with lots of ‘what if’s, and problems. And despite of this, Yot and the team decided to do this, and all we can do/should do is respect the decision imo. You might find it wrong, but that doesn’t mean they should get butchered on the TL. Especially after Yot’s tweet, I think they deserve some love and respect. No need to turn this into your own show. I wish them well

Today is a big moment for Fugz, and I want to speak to you directly from the heart. This isnt something I thought id be writing when starting this journey, but here we are. First, to the Abstract community, nothing but love and respect. To all my penguin connections, Luca, all of it, this is not any sort of disrespect, burning bridges or intention to see anyone fail. I love, support and want to see everyone win. To the Abstract team, what you’re building is demanding and ambitious, but important if achieved for the future of consumer crypto. We’ve had the privilege of being part of that energy, and that doesn’t go unnoticed. This decision is not a rejection of that vision, it’s an acknowledgment of how much alignment matters to Fugz. From the beginning, Fugz has always been about alignment. Alignment with culture. Alignment with collectors. Alignment with the infrastructure that gives our holders the strongest foundation to grow with us long term. The gap here between us and Abstract continued to grow. Over the past months, we’ve spent a lot of time listening, not just to words, but to signals. Wallet data, holder behaviour, where our community feels most at home, where engagement is strongest, where conviction is highest. So, this is not an emotional decision, but one backed by data. Pair that with the overwhelming, honest feedback from our core community, and a clear picture emerged. This move is a reflection of that clarity. This move builds alignment. To our community: thank you for being loud, for being honest, and for caring enough to voice your opinions. You are the reason Fugz exists, and you will continue to shape what it becomes. To the XP farmers and non believers, we thank you for your time. To everyone else, this isn’t an ending, it’s a realignment. A step towards building something that lasts, and i encourage you to join us on this journey, as I'm sure others will too. We move forward with gratitude, respect, and a whole lot of belief. This can’t have been easy. I remember when @tyguyot did the same just prior to @goodvibesclub launching and it wasn’t easy for them either. I genuinely feel this is the best move for Fugz. Art sticks with Art and the best place for art right now is ETH! 🙏
