2000 Tick Chart ES The trendline is very confirmed, multiple confirmations. 2ES signal bar is bullish. Double Bar Entry can be considered when context is strong. In this case uptrend played out, EMA held and no conflicting variables about market structure. The trade is Second Entry Short at the EMA

Use EMA as a zone Not a line. Area where price may react. Watch how price behaves there.

@abdellah_j93981 Signal bars can vary sometimes that is ok. Depends on the broker, data provider. Focus on the context and reload historical data each trading sessin.

You shouldn't hate losing as a trader. You should hate that you broke your own rules.

I just started my session with a losing trade (2EL black arrow). The entry was solid, but with a weak signal bar, I had to use a Double Bar Entry. Was I mad? Was I frustrated? No. I’ve been here a thousand times—just another day in the office. Losing trades are part of trading, and I simply accept that fact. I took a small break, made some tea, and kept trading. Shortly after, I managed to take an HL (green arrow) to a new high and get back to break-even. Unfortunately, I looked away when F2ES formed (also a great trade). The point is, as traders, we don’t see what is going to happen to the right. We follow our rules, which give us an edge. That doesn’t mean we’re going to be right every time. Keep your composure, follow your rules, and you will make it. You’ve got this.

@MehdiChekroune The main first downtrend played out with break new low. So this is secondary wide channel which means we need LH confirmation, 2ES is not enough after just new low. Especially since it broke above EMA.

@kenshi06348332 There are good trades that will fail sometimes, so that is ok. You are focusing on the big picture.

@IamThomasWade What if you didn’t break any rules and it’s a trade that makes sense in my context and it loses. That’s what really infuriates me.

Why do I love tick charts? Tick charts and time-based charts are very similar—but tick charts tend to be more symmetrical and allow traders to see price action in greater detail. This is a CL 500-tick chart from today, and you can see how clean and straightforward the structure was. Of course, not every day is this easy. But as traders, we don’t need every day to be perfect—we just need a handful of high-quality days like this to come out ahead. The rest of the time, protecting capital and staying consistent is enough. A few solid days can make your entire month—and even support a comfortable living. Trust the process. Don’t rush it. Stay disciplined. You’ve got this. Btw when the trend is very strong, first entries and weak signal bars can be considered, that is the nature of super strong trend.

ES 2000 tick chart. I came late but there were quite a few good high probability trades before the open.

After years of trading, here’s what matters: • Context > signals • Patience > frequency • Execution > prediction Everything else is noise.
