I just started my session with a losing trade (2EL black arrow). The entry was solid, but with a weak signal bar, I had to use a Double Bar Entry. Was I mad? Was I frustrated? No. I’ve been here a thousand times—just another day in the office. Losing trades are part of trading, and I simply accept that fact. I took a small break, made some tea, and kept trading. Shortly after, I managed to take an HL (green arrow) to a new high and get back to break-even. Unfortunately, I looked away when F2ES formed (also a great trade). The point is, as traders, we don’t see what is going to happen to the right. We follow our rules, which give us an edge. That doesn’t mean we’re going to be right every time. Keep your composure, follow your rules, and you will make it. You’ve got this.

@MehdiChekroune The main first downtrend played out with break new low. So this is secondary wide channel which means we need LH confirmation, 2ES is not enough after just new low. Especially since it broke above EMA.

You shouldn't hate losing as a trader. You should hate that you broke your own rules.

@IamThomasWade Hi Thomas, it was hard to pull the trigger for me because there was an OS in the stt + the correction seemed steep + a bit of a congestion, the F2ES looked a bit too early to take

Morning Traders, ES just gave very nice and simple trade at the Key Entry Point in an uptrend. Failed Second Entry Short + Triple Test Great way to start a Monday as a trader. Remember, you don't need overcomplicated strategy to make money. You just need to stick to one thing and master that. Trading is not easy, it takes time to learn, but it can be simple by just using price action rules.

@IamThomasWade When you have kind of an established range (or at least clear levels) like here 3-4 tests, is a LH back in the range a HP setup? Also should the LH be at the EMA or a LH off the resistance is sufficient? Thanks in advance

@IamThomasWade Hey Thomas, how would you name the bounces off the trendline (sort of Double traps but above EMA), and would you take them. I've seen 2 of them today

People like to say trendlines don't work. That's because they draw them incorrectly. Price Action Traders can use Trendlines as Key Entry Points to identify where real smart traders will place trades. Drawing trendlines is not subjective. There is a way and rules to draw them. That doesn't mean its easy to find them every time, but it's a skill like anything else. Trading is a skill, not side hustle.

@IamThomasWade Hey Thomas, hope you're good, congrats for the runner (Small question: weren't you concerned about the overshoot right before the 2ES?) Thanks in advance

During today’s session, I took one losing trade on F2EL, marked with a red arrow on the chart. I followed my rules and stayed disciplined, taking 2ES to test the new low of two consecutive downtrends. After that, I managed to recover the initial loss and caught a solid runner to end the session on a positive note. As traders, losing trades are an inevitable part of the journey. Some days you wake up not feeling your best; other times, you might look away at the worst possible moment and miss a great setup. That’s the reality of trading — it’s not about avoiding losses, but about staying consistent with your process. Always keep your focus on the rules, discipline, and execution. That’s what truly defines long-term success in trading.

@IamThomasWade Thomas, whenever you identify 4-5 high probability setups in one day, do you try to take them all or do you have an objective/minimum ? Also do you take exactly the same risk for all the trades (in the same day) ? I mean HP setups with signal bars up to 2,75 points

ES 10/9/2025 Today’s structure was good for trading, although I got tripped up on one trade. I took the first LH, which ended up being a losing trade. This trade was a bit odd because there was minor support, and something was telling me to respect it. But trading is about taking risks, so I took a small one. Another LH was a BOPB setup, and it was a great trade with potential for a new low. Unfortunately, I didn’t get filled. Then I took the 2EL I shared in another post. So, so far I’m 1–1, back to break-even. You are going to have losing trades. You cannot let that affect you. Its part of trading. You can always get a winner and be back to break even. No problem.

2EL at the EMA to new high refers to a second entry long (2EL) setup that forms at or near the exponential moving average (EMA) during an uptrend. It signals a continuation trade where buyers step in on the second push up from a pullback, aiming for a break to a new high. ➡️ Trend: Up ➡️ Setup: Second entry long near EMA ➡️ Target: New high of the move ➡️ Bias: Continuation of bullish momentum

@IamThomasWade I have like a long (2-part) range, the support/resistance fit rather well, apart from the downtrend

Don't like that bullish correction is taking so long. Will give it one more try to test new low after new high and then I forget about new low.

@MehdiChekroune Which one? There is one LH that pushed above EMA after OS, so we need F2EL which didn't trigger.

Took impulsive trade 2EL on the ES that ended up being a loser. Part of trading. So far very choppy structure so I am waiting for something clear.

ES 9/22/2025 Managed to get 2EL at two key entry points in an uptrend. EMA and Trendline is strong confluence. The channel is still in play so we can keep looking for longs.

ES was fairly choppy today. While I was on my break, a high-probability setup occurred where the context aligned well: 1. The downtrend required a new low according to the trendline rule. 2. The structure resembled a breakout-pullback from the previous trading range. 3. A triple EMA rejection indicated strong selling pressure at the EMAs. 4. A lower high(LH) with a solid bearish tail confirmed the second entry short (2ES) and the market’s intention to test a new low. High-probability setups form when all contextual elements align in the market.
