The 6-foot-7 Dorn is a terrific athlete with a high bball IQ & a guard’s skill set. Can score at all 3 levels. A rising young player with a strong upside at the D-1 or D-2 levels.

Top-seeded Mira Mesa rallied to beat Christian 63-55 to capture the San Diego CIF boys D-1 basketball championship on Saturday at Frontwave Arena. The Marauders trailed at the half before building a big lead in the second half & earning their first D-1 boys basketball title.

Marauders making their surge behind a whale of a quarter from Tim Dorn, who’s playing his best basketball since the ankle injury he suffered late the in the year. They lead 46-33, 1:25 left in the 3rd

Final, CIF D1 Championship: (1) Mira Mesa 63, (3) Christian 55 6-7 2026 F Tim Dorn uncorked a massive effort: 26 points, 9 rebounds and 8 blocks in the win. Juju Lebel led Christian with 13 and 15 rebounds.

Last year, Ortiz & 6-foot-7 Hawaii transfer Tim Dorn led Mira Mesa to a school-record 27 wins, including two wins in the state tournament. Dorn is an athletic 3 who can score in multiple ways & is one of the top rim protectors in San Diego. Tim has drawn both D-1 & D-2 interest.
