I used to be like this myself but I have gotten a little better. These may help. 1. Where occasion permits, jot down key points on what you want to say on paper and look at it while talking 2. Always rehearse 3. Start by finding opportunities to speak where you are most comfortable (eg among people that are much junior to you) 4. For start, just stick to the point you want to make and do not digress. If possible, before it’s time for you to talk, walk to a quiet area and murmur what you want to say 5. Read wide. Broad knowledge helps confidence. 6. Wear a good wrist watch (or any piece of fashion you like) and look at it occasionally when talking. Sometimes helps. 7. If relevant, share personal experience more. Easier to narrate what actually happened to you or what you witnessed than some theories. 8. Look for people that you think are worse than you in speaking but have gone far in life. Console yourself that if they can get there, you also can. 9. Pick a good book on confidence. Or short articles online. 10. Boost your personal profile with qualifications, certificates and experience. They give some form of confidence.
