I have just spent four days in Akwa Ibom State and I am still processing what I saw. The people are extraordinary. The climate is perfect. The pace of development is unlike anything I have witnessed in Nigeria in recent memory. An international airport. A state owned airline. A deep sea port. World class hospitality. And a warmth that makes you want to stay. The strange thing is that most of the world has no idea this place exists in the way that it does. That is about to change. Governor Pastor Umo Eno is building something real. And I was given four days to see all of it up close. Stay with me this week. I have a lot to share.

Uyo After Davido: Why Akwa Ibom Must Capitalize on This Global Moment The electrifying Davido concert in Uyo has done more than entertain ,it has put Akwa Ibom State on the global entertainment map. For the first time, the world’s gaze shifted to this beautiful city, not just for its hospitality or serenity, but for its potential as Nigeria’s next major entertainment and event hub. This moment must not fade into applause and memories. It should ignite a strategic movement , one that transforms Uyo into the go-to destination for concerts, conferences, sports, and global cultural experiences. And the foundation for that transformation lies in one crucial investment: a world-class, multi-purpose arena , the Uyo Dome, comparable to the iconic O₂ Arena in London. Why the Time Is Now Global Attention Is Already Here With international headlines and social media trends centered on Davido’s Uyo show, the city has captured the world’s attention. Building a state-of-the-art arena now will sustain that momentum and make Uyo the new hotspot for Africa’s biggest concerts and global events. Boosting the State’s Creative Economy A facility of that magnitude will attract artists, promoters, and event planners from across the world. Every event hosted brings revenue through tourism, hospitality, logistics, and media coverage ,directly enriching the local economy and empowering youths through jobs and creative opportunities. Promoting Akwa Ibom as a Cultural Capital Akwa Ibom has long been known for its culture, cuisine, and hospitality. A globally recognized event venue will amplify that identity and position the state as the cultural heartbeat of Southern Nigeria where entertainment meets excellence. Infrastructure as a Brand Tool The O₂ Arena didn’t just boost London’s economy ,it became a brand. Similarly, a well-designed “Uyo Dome” can symbolize innovation, creativity, and world-class experience. Every international event hosted here would project Akwa Ibom’s image across the globe. The Vision for Uyo Dome Imagine a modern, 30,000-capacity indoor arena, equipped with advanced lighting, sound systems, VIP lounges, and flexible spaces for concerts, sports, conferences, and film festivals. Branded in the bold orange and white identity of Akwa Ibom, it would be the heartbeat of a new tourism and entertainment economy , a beacon of hope and creativity. Lets Turn the Spotlight Into Strategy The Davido event has shown what’s possible. The crowd, the excitement, the global attention all prove that Uyo is ready. But readiness without action is wasted opportunity. Akwa Ibom must seize this momentum, invest in a signature facility like the Uyo Dome, and create an ecosystem that will make the state Africa’s next entertainment powerhouse. Because from every shutter, every light, and every stage there is hope, and there is opportunity. #copied from facebook.com/share/1JVWB7ux… #5iveAliveTour @davido @_PastorUmoEno @ibomairlines @MediaBoyfriend @MrUdomEmmanuel @SenGodswill

🚨 URGENT HELP FAMILY 🚨 Today, on my way from Guinea-Bissau to Senegal, I met my Nigerian brother, Abubakar Yahaya from Zuroad Sheka, bustop, Kano State. 🇳🇬 He left Nigeria in June 2024, chasing the same dream many of us share, a better life for himself and his family. But along the way, life dealt him a harsh hand. He has faced unimaginable struggles, narrowly escaped death, and now finds himself stranded, weak, and broken. Abubakar is currently trekking back to Nigeria from Senegal , with no money, no phone, and no support, just faith and survival driving his steps. It'll take him 2 more days to be in Bissau, the capital of Guinea Bissau🇬🇼. When we met, I saw pain, courage, and exhaustion in his eyes. I gave him the little I had left and told him to call me when he reaches Bissau, with any phone he can find. Family, please, if this story reaches you and you can help in any way, assist him to get back home safely to Nigeria. No one deserves to suffer alone on the road to survival. Help share and tag anyone you can can help. Let’s help bring Abubakar Yahaya home. 🇳🇬💔 Pls Dm or for quick response, send a mail to emmiwukscyclingmovement@gmail.com Together we Ride. Together we Rise. VIVA AFRICA 🌍 #NIG2USA #fyp #viralreels #Kano
