They have had the same induction and training as all other new councillors. Previous new councillors have managed just fine with this, as they have actually done some studying before just rocking up!

@lwayscocacola @MichelleBeckett I would suggest I am merely seeing things differently here. The whole thing indicates a total failure of this council's Induction Process to accommodate an entire group of novice councillors. Other councils seem to have managed that better.

My daughter was elected as a city councillor when she was 18, the youngest in the country at the time. (11 years ago) She worked her butt off beforehand (and afterwards) to ensure she knew all there is to know about how local government works. She was brilliant and did some important work. She knew all this backwards before she got in the chamber. This is outrageous incompetence. I wouldn’t dream of voting Reform, but this should give pause to anyone remotely considering it.
