The #UNGA High-level Meeting on Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) and Mental Health has officially started. NCDs account for seven of the world’s top 10 causes of death, and more than 1 billion people face mental health conditions. Every death is a tragedy, no matter the cause, but the younger the person, the more acute the tragedy. Let’s remember the reason we’re in this room – for the people who are not.
