@cishethater @jonburkeUK never voted Tory Lib-dem or Green party I support ideas that take cars off the road but there are issues with the scheme that need addressing also I don't drive
English

@luton_paul @jonburkeUK No, it shouldn't, but it's something that has to be addressed if this scheme is going to be successful and not blocked at every corner possible.
If they could finally make this work for everyone, it could be rolled out across the country, imagine what that could achieve.

@IanTregale3 @jonburkeUK Supporting yourself should not involve harming others.
English

@jonburkeUK OK, fair enough, but this Isn't issue with that idea that needs to be addressed.
It's important to help people with their health. But you also have to consider people's livelihoods and ability to support themselves.
English

@IanTregale3 Yes, and they also have a duty not to violate other people’s inviolable right to life - particularly children whose developing lungs and brains are especially sensitive to air pollution.

@speers_tim @scotsguy27 @richfelgate @Thisis_Rigged well people ware finding it hard to pay the bills and anything that they see stopping making they money to pay bills/rent put food on their table could be seen as a bad thing ie fuel storages road blocks ect

This morning two @Thisis_Rigged protesters tresspassed into Grangemouth oil terminal, demanding an end to new oil and gas licenses.
Heavy police presence on site and what looks like a newly built fence and gate protecting the entrance, presumably in response to recent protests.

Are the people with the power to make necessary changes listening now please?
Are they taking notice of the science that says this will get worse?
That people who over-consume have to choose between their lifestyle and existence?

Introducing Karl-Heinz Rosch, a German machine gunner who served during WW2. Despite a challenging upbringing, Karl displayed bravery and empathy. Following his graduation, he was drafted into the Wehrmacht Armed Forces, but fate had other plans in store for him.
In October 1944, amidst Allied artillery fire on a farm, Karl noticed two children playing in the yard, seemingly unaware of the imminent danger. Without a moment's hesitation, he dashed to their aid, leaving his rifle behind, and safely escorted the children to the basement. Tragically, as he returned to retrieve his weapon, a grenade struck him, resulting in a devastating and grisly demise.
Remarkably, for six decades, Karl's selfless act remained shrouded, concealed by his identity as an enemy soldier. Even his family remained unaware of the specifics of his sacrifice. It was only when the rescued children came forward with their testimonies that the public learned of the courage displayed by this young German soldier.
Initially, due to his affiliation with the enemy, authorities denied funding for a memorial in Karl's honor. However, in 2008, the community united, raising funds to pay tribute to Karl's memory.
This memorial stands alone in Europe and the world, being the sole one dedicated to a German soldier and supported by former adversaries. Another similar memorial exists for Friedrich Lengfeld, who lost his life while attempting to save a wounded American soldier during the Battle of Hürtgen Forest.
The inscription on Karl Heinz Rosch's memorial encapsulates the sentiment: "This statue is a tribute to him and all who do good in evil times." He passed away just three days after his 18th birthday.
