Not out of it, but I fear Liverpool have wasted that 90 minutes.

No complaints with the lineup, it’s exactly what I’d have gone with. PSG aren’t the same side they were 12 months ago, they’ll give Liverpool chances. But the Reds have to be aggressive, fight for everything, and put them under pressure. Do that, and they’ve got a chance.

@umirf1 Couldn’t agree with this more. If you watched him last night and came away only thinking “yep he can’t defend” then I feel you are only seeing what you want to see.

Seeing Trent’s performance yesterday was divisive publicly. Interesting. I actually thought he was impressive, stood out and impacted the game well against such a good opponents

Liverpool again crumble at the first signs of adversity, they’d been okay for 30 minutes. It was only okay though.

@dlmjnk @johngibbonsblog I don’t think he dismissed it, I just think he said that it wasn’t quite as black and white as it’s made out.

So (in his interview with @johngibbonsblog) Klopp dismisses the long-standing story that Salah was the back up or Plan B to Brandt. Joyce wrote that again this week.

@Clarkey_No1 @refsupportuk What you’re suggesting makes complete sense, the taker can effectively do what ever they like to tempt the keeper into moving, but the keeper has no room for error. As soon as you stop or fake in your run up the keeper should be able to take a step off his line.

@refsupportuk Erm, it's a suggestion on my personal X account. It will never happen, I just don't like those jazzy run ups. Similarly, I'd like to see bigger shin pads, the ball in play for longer and a stop on goalkeepers going down injured to incite a coaching time out. Is this okay?

Some wild takes on Arne Slot since Saturday, I think maybe it is time to part ways whether now or in the summer. But to say you’re “scared” of him winning the Champions league because that will make him unsackable is just madness.

I got it badly wrong, it’s been a stroll for City second half, they have been fantastic. Deserved winners. I thought Arsenal would offer so so much more, they’ve been miles off it.

There are real parallels with Leicester 2023 here. Keep Rodgers too long, then sack him so late you may as well have kept him. #Spurs have done the same with Frank. Both clubs made the same mistake, couldn’t accept they were in a relegation battle. Will the result be the same?

@Towno10 It feels like things are going the other way Troy, in football and society. It’s tragic.

Anyone that thinks the game has solved this problem is deluded. Racism has always existed in our game and we are no sooner to get to the bottom of it than ever before 😔
Premier League Match Centre@PLMatchCentre

#NEWSUN Today’s match between Newcastle United and Sunderland was temporarily paused during the second half after a report of discriminatory abuse from the crowd, directed at Sunderland’s Lutsharel Geertruida. This is in line with the Premier League's on-field anti-discrimination protocol. The incident at St James’ Park will now be fully investigated. We offer our full support to the player and both clubs. Racism has no place in our game, or anywhere in society. We will continue to work with stakeholders and authorities to ensure our stadiums are an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
