Feature Spotlight: Partial Unstake
[ Overview ]
Partial Unstake was our most requested feature. It allows Fixed Depositors to withdraw a portion of their funds while keeping the remaining balance actively earning yield.
Many depositors rely on Elemental as a yield engine. The goal is simple: spend the returns without disrupting the underlying capital. Partial Unstake makes that possible.
[ How It Works ]
Enter the amount you wish to withdraw and initiate the request.
For convenience, you can also use the “Claim Yield” button. This automatically withdraws your accrued yield, equivalent to manually entering that amount.
Withdrawals are processed in the following order:
1) Accrued yield is withdrawn first.
2) If the requested amount exceeds available yield, the remaining balance is withdrawn from your principal.
Selecting “Max” will fully unstake your position.
[ Unstake Duration ]
All unstake requests follow the same cycle and must complete one full Elemental epoch, which lasts 5 days.
The total time depends on when you initiate the request within the current epoch:
- If you are close to the next epoch (e.g. 1 hour away), your total wait is 5 days + 1 hour.
- If you are early in the epoch (e.g. 4 days away), your total wait is approximately 5 days + 4 days.
[ Important Note ]
Only one partial unstake request can be active at any given time. Plan your withdrawals carefully before initiating.
[ Closing ]
Elemental is built in close partnership with our community. We value thoughtful feedback and prioritize features that genuinely improve how our users manage and grow their capital.
Our approach is simple: listen carefully, build deliberately, and iterate responsibly. Features like Partial Unstake are a direct result of that philosophy.
We believe the future of DeFi lies in alignment between builders and users. When both sides contribute to shaping the product, the outcome is not just more innovative, but also more sustainable and practical over the long term.
