Aston Villa last won a game on October 22nd and I bet there is not the same level of anti manager vitriol flying around on social media. They drew at home to Palace too. I know the majority of the shortsighted, negative and unhinged stuff is confined to #nufc on here but when you lose sight of context you become irrational and annoying. Howe deserves support, backing from the board and time to get things right. Which is what I’m told he will get so snipe away. He’s not going anywhere

Firstly buzzing with yesterdays result but what’s happened to our away ends. Don’t let the last 30 minutes mask how bad the first 60 were. Why did it take 2 goals before people would join in singing and is that how you celebrate a goal away at Sunderland these days? #NUFC

@SettlerDebate It’s about opinions , people around me sang all game, clear on occasions that there was 3/4 differing going at same time, agree with other poster we hardly heard the Mackems sing as one so they weren’t great by the way despite their blinkered claims. Whole atmosphere was average

My overriding memory of that will always be them singing ‘2-0 to the Saudi boys’ - Incredible endorsement of what they now are. Also, the lack of noise they made early on. On the pitch, that’s what £500,000,000 against £7,000,000 gets you. We’ll meet again one day. #SAFC

The vast majority of @NUFC and @SunderlandAFC supporters go to the derby matches to enjoy them. There’ll be families and people with disabilities travelling to the game from all over the region. Fans I’ve spoken to don’t like being labelled hooligans and banned from public transport. We don’t see this approach in other cities with derby matches.
