Hi @EMA_Airport - wanted to share a horrendous experience going through security on the morning of 13/7. Security staff treated me appallingly when I explained that my insulin pump should not go through the body scanners - a particular staff member was aggressive & dismissive /1

@DiabeticDadUK I think this is so horrendous. Slimming world do not teach sustainable, healthy habits. The statistics for rebound weight gain + more are shocking. Fills me with dread.

I can't help but think this partnership will light fires and rightly so. I do believe in support and guidance to help everyone eat a sustainable and healthy diet. T1 is mentioned here as a percentage of people "with overweight or obese" but that's in line with the UK average for adults whether they have diabetes or not.
