Ship bunkering facility has been inaugurated at Gwadar port 🇵🇰 2500 ton VLSFO was supplied to LNG tanker, produced by Cnergyico refinery, Balochistan. Due to middle eastern conflict, Gwadar port is witnessing an extra ordinary volume of traffic. 11k TEU container cargo is being handled every month (equivalent of 1 year 📦 normally) It was built at the cost of 250 million $ nearly two decades ago and now run by China overseas ports holding company (COPHC) 4 general purpose berths are serving trans-shipment cargo & ships of upto 12.8 metre draught can safely anchor due to natural deep-waters 🏗 Due to its strategic location near the strait of Hormuz and bombing of Chabahar port (arch rival) by 🇺🇸, Gwadar is leveraging its geo-political importance by enhancing maritime trade/connectivity. What do you think about potential of Gwadar port as road connectivity with hinterland is available + basic industries are being established in special economic zone ⁉️
