People have been asking for my take on everything going on lately, especially when it comes to entering the lewd sphere. So here’s my advice: The moment you start existing in both spaces, SFW and NSFW...people will try to reduce you to a single label. It won’t matter how funny you are, how kind you are, how much you do for the community, the charity work, the effort, the late nights, the support you give others… to some people, all of it gets buried under one word. So if this is a path you’re stepping into, understand that now. You need thick skin. You need to know who you are outside of what strangers decide to call you, because once people make up their minds about you, very few will look deeper than the label they’ve chosen.

@Idontexistalr neither streaming nor vtubing could have ever feasibly been a "genre" of entertainment because of how damn accessible it is. this was always bound to happen, so it's all the more important to primarily focus on supporting the few people you do feel "deserve" the recognition.

@Idontexistalr what this comes down to is not even a vtubing issue but just a general issue of streaming. what used to be a niche kind of enetertainment centered around just "hanging out" with someone, playing video games or whatever, attracted more and more degenerates, idiots and grifters.

One of the most disappointing things I've had to witness was the fall-off of Vtubers. It genuinely had so much potential, but EN Vtubers decided it needed to be a platform to gain control of, and kick out/alienate anyone who disagrees with their politics. And that's not even getting into the sexualization, how THE FUCK did having orgy parties, fansly's and OF's become so normalized in what is supposed to be streaming for people who wanted to stay anonymous??? Vtubing genuinely lost what it used to be. A cool way for people to stay anonymous while streaming. Now it's just goonslop and politicalslop.

This is about me but as someone who used to watch Asmon every day for years and essentially surrounded my life around his content (transferred to Kel'Thuzad to join his guild, etc) hes bored creators who are his level arent as interesting to harass as smaller creators I looked up to this idiot, not because of his disgusting habits but his humor was just like mine and he inspired me to try harder as a creator. its incredibly disgusting to see he has changed so much.. and yes he has changed. as someone who used to be his die hard fan he isnt remotely the same.
