As you know MLP thrives on indirect trades: Token A ➡️ MLP ➡️ Token B. So when there are less trades happening, there are decreased fees in our pairs, which surprisingly signaled another utility for MLP, an indicator of global trasaction volume. If you see MLP price going up, it's likely that major tokens are also going up: You can call this Alpha. Now breaking down each token and how it affects $MLP. $ETH: It has been riding sideways, ranging from 2800-3300. This affects more alts than MLP directly, as they tend to bump/dump more with any ETH price move. As for ETH alone, most of the times it gets volume because of Arbitrage on our USDC pair. $PENGU: It's been making a strong comeback since last month with 50% gains, this upward movement generated some value for MLP as we had 111k PENGU before and now it hold 99K, those were used to buy other tokens, so the LP's keep balanced on their total value. $BIGCOIN: The delay of merge mining has been bleeding $BIG a lot, with a downward price movement of almost 50% it's pushing our other LP's to sell tokens to keep the overall portfolio balanced. We went from having 4.5K BIG tokens to currently over 6K. It's still one of the tokens with most volume and when/if merge mining is announced, BIG will rotate into all the other LP's, positioning as an huge catalyst to easily drive $MLP price up to 1$ and beyond. $ABSTER: The #1 memecoin in Abstract, it feels bottomed out and will move very thightly with PENGU price movements. Abstract develoments and announcements are also a factor that can move ABSTER, as being one of the top, if not the top token besides PENGU. Fortunately we were able to build our LP's with ABSTER at a very good price, so when/if it starts to climb towards it's previous ATH, it can be also a huge catalyst to drive MLP price up to 1$ and beyond. $gtBTC: The newest pair in town, with still very low liquidity on it, but as soon MLP price gets in range it will start to fill up quickly, this will provide stability and a premium for MLP, as being paired with BTC, ETH, USDC it can become a major player in Abstract for it's wide exposure between more risky and volatile tokens such as PENGU/ABSTER/BIG vs the stability of BTC/ETH/USDC. Final thoughts: Abstract is going through the initial hype phase, where a lot of projects are still emerging and buing built, while there's lack of incentives for traders, it contrasts with it's DeFi progress with @aborean (which we have a MLP/ABX pair, waiting to enter in the price range).
