@MrrLion4 @DaizyZeeX No, they can’t, period pain is uterine pain & has nothing to do with estrogen or progesterone. 🙄 There’s no period without “the uterus stuff”.

@DaizyZeeX Trans women actually can feel period pains if on E, I think ppl forget periods are more than just the uterus stuff, some trans women do get cramps (muscle contractions)triggered by the hormonal fluctuations. Estrogen, progesterone, hormonal cycles and all that

Period cramps (dysmenorrhea) are exclusively painful uterine muscle contractions during menstruation & has nothing whatsoever to do with estrogen. Trans women can absolutely have bad reactions from drug estrogen, however.
cl8xx@imcl8xx

period cramps in general are caused BY estrogens reaction to the bodys changes and stuff. cramps happen in the uterus, and abdominal area at the same time. if a trans woman takes estrogen, her body will have the same reaction simply just without a uterus. abdominal cramps

@rhaelves Cramping isn’t uterus shedding lining & vaginal bleeding like, trans women don’t have a uterus & can’t experience period cramps.

whoever wrote that community note thought they had a "gotcha moment" when yes, trans women on HRT can experience period-like symptoms such as cramping.

@miiklings @malesshutup Then you should be more than well aware that a period is a uterus shedding lining, nothing to do with hormones.

@malesshutup Yes because a period is a hormone cycle. And before yall start here too, i am an AFAB trans man who has had my period for 10 years with endometriosis so I probably know a bit more than you since I've had to research this shit since I was EIGHT.

Dear men who believe that it’s “just a few” women and girls who are harmed by men wearing us as skin-suits, How many women and girls need to be affected by these men before you “allow” us to care and speak up? How many women and girls need to be harassed, assaulted, raped, or murdered before we can speak without you telling us “it’s just a few women? Why do you even care?” Please, give us all an exact number.

@shes_the_worst @IsabellaScar2 Period diarrhea is a thing because of uterine-produced prostaglandins in the bloodstream during menstruation. Prostaglandins isn’t a hormone & not available to trans women for obvious reasons.

@Icezia @IsabellaScar2 no, the hormone floods the area to help the uterus contract, but as a side effect all the other muscles in the area contract too which is why period shits are a thing.

@LonerEevee @IsabellaScar2 No, they’re XY females - they develop entirely female but without ovaries, & no balls either because again, they’re female. If it’s okay to be wrong then be the bigger he/they, I’m not the one claiming trans women have PMSing balls.

Trans women ARE male by definition. They aren’t ’real women’ because ‘real women’ are female by definition. 😑

@LonerEevee @IsabellaScar2 HRT can definitely cause drug side effects. PMS is part of the ovarian cycle with ovarian hormones. Women with Swyers syndrome are born without ovaries & don’t have a menstrual cycle. Trans women are men with testicles.

@LonerEevee @IsabellaScar2 ”And disappear with pregnancy & menopause.” Because then the ovaries are inactive. PMS doesn’t happen without ovulation.

@IsabellaScar2 Trans Women will also experience Pre-Menstrual Syndrome and other emotional side effects of a menstrual cycle (like rising and falling libido) The notion that periods is 'just bleeding' is factually wrong
