@g_baks Thank you for this! A legacy was reshaped as it rightfully should have been. Mama was such a key player, and we wanted to show the different aspects of her so people understood the different sides.

This is how you do a documentary. Unbiased and her grandbabies did a great job approaching her story from a point of love while asking difficult questions. Winnie’s story is far from perfect but she went through so much.

@NetflixSA @Mokgads I attended her funeral service in Orlando. A moment in history. She leaves behind a very powerful and impactful legacy.

@kgotsohopelekau Thank you or sharing this powerful post. You are right, its so important to preserve history. This, along with the African Oral History Archive will be available for generations to come, and engage with.

I am watching this documentary with an open mind cause we know there is always an agenda, but as I am watching what is being echoed in my soul is. It is so important to preserve our History. Places like the Constitution Hill, Lillies Farm, Robben Island needs to be kept and it is sad how expensive visiting these place is for locals and how many South Africans have never been to for example 'Robben Island'. We should never allow westernism, globalism and the one world agendas - make us forget the realities of the past. Infact, I think the government should have been more involved in ensuring schools take kids to these places yearly. #TheTrialsofWinnieMandela @netflix @NetflixSA @trialsofwinnie
