@Dispropoganda I think a big part of it is the Majid. It has a shorter range than other AD, but it uses IR and is very good. They have been taking out MQ-9s the whole war. As U.S. standoff munitions decrease, we will likely see more of this. Speculation, btw.

@ZZvonimiro76162 @cirnosad It depends. I make no claim to knowledge, but the Majid is a shorter range system. They have been downing Reapers and Hermes almost everyday with those systems. If the majority of sorties were using standoff munitions outside the Majid’s range, then we can expect more kills.

@ZZvonimiro76162 @cirnosad It’s possible, but the majority of Iranian air defense systems are geared towards shorter ranges. Another possibility is that they have waited for standoff munitions to taper off, rolling out their systems once the U.S. has to get closer. Hard to say.

@cirnosad Iranian airspace is not defended. They have a few surviving systems they hide and take out to ambush planes. This is a war and the US is prepared to lose planes from time to time. It would be completely insane if literally no plane got shot down. Even servs shot one down in 99.
