On the directions of Worthy Director , Dr. Samina Gul-SSO, discussed state surveillance and outbreak response capacities during a workshop held by DHR under MoHFW GoI.Mar 22- 23, 2024, organized in collab with ICMR-NIV.

State Surveillance Unit - IDSP Kashmir visits District Anantnag and Kulgam. Visited GMC Anantnag , DPHL Anantnag, interacted with MS GMC Anantnag, MS DH Kulgam.

SSU-IDSP headed by Dr Samina Gul along with Dr Omair Wani & Mr Tahir Gazanfar visited district Baramulla on 13-02-2024 Visited CMO's office GMC Baramulla met Principal/Dean & MS GMC regarding SARI/ ILI, NRCP and VBD also visited DPHL.

SSU team headed by Dr Samina Gul visits the outbreak area* in District Shopian accompanied by in CMO. Later, the team inspected the DPHL in Di H Shopian. SSO appreciated the incharge CMO and DSU Team and MS Shopian in handling and timely intervention of Hepatitis A outbreak.

Dr. Kulkarni initiated valuable interactions at SSU with the IDSP staff. Aiming to fortify disease surveillance for epidemic-prone conditions and discern early warning signals in the challenging terrain of Kashmir, the visit culminated in an extensive discussion.

Joint Director CSU-IDSP , NCDC Delhi , DGHS on 2 -Day visit to Kashmir .

Dr. Sanket V. Kulkarni, Joint Director from National Centre for Disease Control ( NCDC -Delhi, DGHS), received a gracious welcome during his two-day visit (17-18 Nov 2023) to Kashmir, extended by Dr. Samina Gul, SSO IDSP Kashmir. Engaging with the dedicated IDSP team in Kashmir.

2- day training prog. by SSU IDSP Kmr in collab with DSU IDSP Budgam under the chair of Dr. Samina Gul (SSO IDSP Kashmir) on 19th/ 20th June 2023. MLHPs trained on preparedness, surveillance & OB invest. of epid prone diseases. Hands on training was imparted on IHIP portal.

Farewell to Dr Talat Jabeen on her Superannuation.Shall miss your leadership and mentoring . Wishing you pleasant time and enjoyable life post retirement.

SSO/ Epidemiologist, Kashmir Dr Talat Jabeen felicitated on "National Doctor's Day 1st July 2022". In an even held at Regional Office for Health & Family welfare Dr Tatat was accolade for her exemplary contribution explicitly during the Covid-19 pandemic.
