@TegidRoberts "shouldn't be" - definitely. But if you borrow on the open market, then you have to accept the 'rules' of the open market. But caring about the *instant* take of the city is dull, because traders will sell off if they think that others might sell. What's the longer term effect?

@EmmaRaczka Typical Anglo-centric list. Here in Ceredigion we often have people / deliveries arrive 3 hours late becaause they thought we lived in 'Wales' which, obviously, is only an hour down the motorway...

@ceritheviking At one stage, Wales were doing better than England on getting people out of hospital iirc, which wouldn't fit @AndrewRTDavies 's worldview. Accept that RT is only about currying favour in Westminster, and it all falls into place. He has no vision for Wales.

@ceritheviking Meanwhile, European money was also spent repurposing old, unusable buildings by converting - you've guessed it - the old station to offices. They were totally impractical and never occupied. (My father sold tickets at Aberdare. Known locally as father christmas...)

Anyway so I only really tweeted this quite geeky rail tweet to mention this.
The new aberdare station was only built in the 80s where it was becauseEuropean money could only be spent on new stations and not reopening old ones.
Ffs. Public sector money rules really can be stupid!

So a 3rd valley lines tweet sorry. Told aberdare station will have works and move south. Did some investigating and it seems not quite. But a new up platform further south on the cards. All a bit complicated and feels a bit meh solution really. (A way away with budgets)

Some have mocked me for sharing these. But it just shows how out of touch they are. They weren’t put together by professional designers, just decent Welsh people fed up with the policies imposed by Labour and Plaid Cymru nationalists. Only Welsh Conservatives are listening.
