My current physician, who wears a delicate crucifix necklace was told by her former practice the necklace makes people uncomfortable. Senior partner asked if she would consider removing during business hours; it was making some clients and staff “uncomfortable”. She said, I’m sorry, but no. She was asked again the next week. Then she was pressured to do more, be on call for holidays, etc. Long story short, she was approached by a concierge medical group. She said the offer was beyond generous, and they had no problem with her crucifix.
Her faithfulness did not go unnoticed by the only one who matters.
