They made Literature optional in senior school, where English is compulsory. They have banned politically themed items during high school drama festivals. Publishers are now needed to submit PDFs of each book published to the Kenyan Senate. We are back in the 1980s.

The cash‑strapped Kenya Kwanza government yesterday launched the largest auction of Kenya’s mineral wealth and mining rights since independence in 1963. The move gives global investors just two weeks to secure ownership and production rights across five strategic sites as it scrambles to plug a yawning budget hole. ow.ly/1Ija50YFsgx

A powerful message from Dr. Manu Chandaria OBE CBS EBS, Chandaria Foundation “Are you a Kenyan, or are you simply enjoying Kenya, or are you serving Kenya?” “It is easy to say ‘Mimi ni Mkenya,’ but proving it is difficult. It takes effort. It takes intention. It takes choosing to do better every single day.” He stands proud as a Kenyan and calls on all of us to do the same not just in words but in action. Let us be the people who choose change. Let us earn it. #MimiMkenya

This now brings all Public funds under the control of one individual, outside Constitutional safeguards on public finance, including Parliament and the Auditor General. Add E-Citizen, E-procurement, etc., whose software is owned and operated by private individuals.LOOTING.

This is very bad OPTICS for @RealMatiangi There must be saboteurs inside @JubileePartyK Every time there's joint rally with Gachagua, they make sure almost everyone in the crowd near the podium/motorcade, is wearing DCP-branded caps/t-shirts. They even did this in Kisii! Also, in Kisii/Nyamira, where no serious politician would contest on DCP, they made sure to have Rigathi take photos with 'local DCP candidates'! MOTIVE: To create impression that Matiangi's political future will be decided by DCP. How can Jubilee strategists allow such sabotage of their presidential candidate? SOLUTION: 1. In any future 'United Opposition' rally, Jubilee must have most - or at least very prominent - of the crowd near the podium/motorcade, being their supporters, wearing their party-branded caps/t-shirts. Only exceptions are if rally is in Western or Lower Eastern. OPTICS is food for politics. 2. If Matiang'i is visiting a region, the local Jubilee party officials must always organize for photos with local candidates for various seats - with Western & Lower Eastern excepted. Those photos must then be shared on social media by the candidates & party officials. 3. Any Jubilee party official who is active on social media, and does not regularly share photos/videos of Matiang'i's activities on their handles, could already be bought (or manipulated) by the other side. Example: The previous Jubilee organizing secretary - who has a large following on social media - rarely promoted Matiang'i on her handles. And whenever she did, she would praise Gachagua first. She was not bought - She was manipulated to believe that her party & its presidential candidate was 'not popular on the ground, therefore promoting him was a waste of time'. PROOF that such theories are baseless, and are manipulation/brainwashing tactics: It is a fact that UDA is extremely unpopular in Mt Kenya region. Nevertheless, local UDA officials are always promoting the party & its leader - for the OPTICS. In fact, it is due to this OPTICS strategy by UDA - regular public meetings/rallies, using party-branded caps/t-shirts/merchandise, to create false impression that it is popular in Mt Kenya - that has allowed them to rig by-elections in the region, without creating much suspicion. Back to Jubilee/Matiang'i. How can Matiang'i become popular, if even senior Jubilee party officials with active social media handles are not popularizing him? How many Jubilee officials - and people who claim to support the party - repost his tweets/posts on various social media platforms? 4. Jubilee needs to clean house, all the way from grassroots: Every party official must be made to understand that, if they don't start popularising Matiang'i on the ground and on social media, then they can no longer remain as party officials. In every county in the country - apart from Western & Lower Eastern, where there are prominent political parties that are allies of Jubilee - local Jubilee officials must organise at least 1 event for Matiang'i to attend, within the next 3 months. Alone (with only Jubilee officials/members/supporters). i.e. if Matiang'i attends a United Opposition rally in, say, Nyandarua, it does not mean that he cannot go back there the next week, ALONE - for a Jubilee party rally. NOTE: 1. UDA & DCP consider Jubilee/Matiang'i to be their biggest political threat - And its in their interest to infiltrate & sabotage the party from within, to weaken its presidential candidate. 2. When Uhuru Kenyatta was president, and was trying to popularize Raila Odinga in Mt Kenya, he would send a close ally to attend functions in the region, to popularise Raila. And on every occasion, local politicians allied to Ruto/Rigathi, would disrupt these social/religious functions, claiming they 'were not consulted' - as if they owned the people they represented in parliament. Among places these disruptions occurred: Kiharu, by Ndindi Nyoro; Nanyuki, by Cate Waruguru; Nyandarua by Faith Gitau etc. Some of these disruptions - of functions attended by pro-Uhuru politicians, to popularise Raila in Mt Kenya - were done by paid youth, who were also bought local illicit brews, to 'make them brave' (You can search online for these facts). That is how Raila ended up not having much support in Mt Kenya region, despite being backed by Uhuru - By Ruto/Rigathi making it impossible for politicians allied to Uhuru to promote him in the region. Today, DCP wants to create the same situation - whereby Matiang'i cannot campaign in Mt Kenya, unless 'accompanied by local DCP politicians'. This is sabotage of Matiang'i - he & Jubilee must reject such underhand tactics. 3. If Jubilee organises a function/rally in Mt Kenya for Matiang'i to attend alone (with only Jubilee officials/members/supporters), and is heckled or disrupted in some way, that would be proof that UDA & DCP are working together to sabotage him. Such a function/rally in Mt Kenya is very important if held soon - because it would give the party opportunity to know whether their local organisers were being intimidated for hosting him alone.

1956: This is David Ndii's uncle Ndirangu Mau, who shot patriot Dedan Kimathi. Kimathi was already injured & limping, but Ndirangu still shot him, for the promised prize money. Today, Ndirangu's nephew - David Mwangi Ndii - helps Ruto to rob Kenyans. Like uncle, like nephew. It is in the blood.

Kenya strongly condemns the strikes on the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain in the evolving conflict in the Middle East. It is evident that the regionalisation of this conflict poses a grave threat to international peace and security. At this defining and perilous moment in global history, longstanding multilateral institutions remain indispensable frameworks for the resolution of the current crisis in the Middle East. Kenya calls for urgent multi-stakeholder engagement towards de-escalation.
