Well Pep, a sad day for football and for City fans But it’s also a day to celebrate your incredible achievements over the last 10 years in Mcr You were probably even responsible for getting Oasis back together 🤣    Enjoy your rest and be proud of all you have achieved 🤝

🇵🇹 🧠 Bernardo on playing left-back against Arsenal… “In the beginning, his first idea was to play me at centre-back, and I actually trained at centre-back. Arsenal away, the one where I played left-back. “So Nathan was playing left-back, me and Ruben centre-backs, and when he called me to his office, I just thought, ‘Wow…’ He said, ‘Can you do it?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I will try for sure. You know it’s not my natural position, but I will do it if you want me to do it.’ “Then we trained after one day and he said, ‘I think it’s better if we change, Nathan comes to the centre and you go left-back.’ Even then it probably seemed crazy to do that, especially in such a difficult game against Arsenal, who were top of the league at that time. “And we won that game and it was nice. It’s nice to have the trust of your manager to play in any position on the field.”

Voi andate a vedere come allenano i bambini adesso... Io ho portato mio nipote al calcio, me ne sono scappato subito! Allenamenti alle sei e mezza di sera! D’inverno! A noi sarebbe bastato continuare a giocare col pallone! Sandro Mazzola.

For a guy who won two Premier Leagues, two League Cups and an FA Cup at City to be asked to leave the club during his prime years must've really hurt Joe Hart but look at the openness with which he speaks about Pep. That's what he's achieved. Respect.

Pep - what can I say? Where do I start? ✍️🩵 It’s difficult to truly describe the impact Pep has had - not only on Manchester City as a football club, but on everything around it as well. The trophies and achievements speak for themselves. But what made him special was always much bigger than winning. For me personally, he was never just a manager. He was a mentor, a leader and also a friend. From the very first day we worked together, he challenged me to see football differently. Every detail mattered. Every meter on the pitch had a purpose. There were moments when his intensity pushed all of us to our limits mentally and physically - but looking back, that obsession with perfection is exactly what made his teams so extraordinary. What many people don’t see from the outside is the human side of Pep. Beyond football, he is incredibly humble, thoughtful and someone who genuinely cares about the people around him. Over the years, I was lucky enough to experience that side of him very closely. He made me a better player, but also a better person. When I look back on my career one day, my time working with Pep will always be one of the defining chapters of my journey. ManCity without Pep will never be the same again. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, my family, the football club, the community and Manchester as a whole. 🩵 Looking forward to seeing you at the game on Sunday! @PepTeam 🙏
