The true investor will do better if he forgets about the stock market and pays attention to his dividend returns and to the operating results of his companies.

@IgorMukhin@DividendGrowth I used to track on " The Rich " app ( a Korean/english app ) but Seeking alpha can give you the amount per stock and you copy paste on an excel with the number of stocks you have.
Robinhood is planning to roll-out a feature called "Early Eividends" in April for customers
They expect to pay dividends earlier on a wide group of companies (up to 17 days earlier than payment date, on average)
The payment will be done a few days after the record date
I am not sure if there is a catch such as being charged margin interest if you use that early dividend to spend or reinvest before the payment date.
Looks like enrollment is automatic as well
I reviewed the list of eligible companies for the Early Dividend Feature, and I see pretty much any company I could think of
Once I see how this works in action, I will write more about it. At this phase, I do not know enough details to say more about it.
That being said, they also plan to unveil a dividend tracker, which many will likely be excited about..
@DividendGrowth Yeah I understand. I’ve been with E*trade for years and their income projection is good but not great. I always ask around to see if there are great options outside of excel and the actual brokerage account.
Umberto Eco, who owned 50,000 books, had this to say about home libraries:
“It is foolish to think that you have to read all the books you buy, as it is foolish to criticize those who buy more books than they will ever be able to read. It would be like saying that you should use all the cutlery or glasses or screwdrivers or drill bits you bought before buying new ones.
“There are things in life that we need to always have plenty of supplies, even if we will only use a small portion.
“If, for example, we consider books as medicine, we understand that it is good to have many at home rather than a few: when you want to feel better, then you go to the ‘medicine closet’ and choose a book. Not a random one, but the right book for that moment. That’s why you should always have a nutrition choice!
“Those who buy only one book, read only that one and then get rid of it. They simply apply the consumer mentality to books, that is, they consider them a consumer product, a good. Those who love books know that a book is anything but a commodity.”
Dear @SouthwestAir: Your new seating rules and boarding procedures are a DISASTER.
Boarding is chaos. Deboarding is even worse. Your new boarding order leads to front bins being filled by back seaters before longtime A-Listers even board. This leads to madness upon deboarding as people go against the flow of traffic to get the carry-ons they had to stash 20 rows behind them.
And because you no longer allow two bags to be checked for free, there are way more carry-ons, which only leads to longer boarding and deboarding times.
There’s simply no reason to fly Southwest anymore. You don’t have the lowest fares. Miles and status don’t matter because of how badly you dorked up boarding. And the service quality has gone waaaaay down, with fun and cheery flight attendants being replaced by nasty, bossy cranks with bad attitudes.
It doesn’t have to be this way. You used to be the best. You should go back to doing the things that made Southwest different and great.
For those unaware, SpaceX has already shifted focus to building a self-growing city on the Moon, as we can potentially achieve that in less than 10 years, whereas Mars would take 20+ years.
The mission of SpaceX remains the same: extend consciousness and life as we know it to the stars.
It is only possible to travel to Mars when the planets align every 26 months (six month trip time), whereas we can launch to the Moon every 10 days (2 day trip time). This means we can iterate much faster to complete a Moon city than a Mars city.
That said, SpaceX will also strive to build a Mars city and begin doing so in about 5 to 7 years, but the overriding priority is securing the future of civilization and the Moon is faster.
