i’m adding Livepeer to our edgen analysis series. so what exactly is $LPT ? $Livepeer has become one of the rare projects that edgen classifies under “ai-infrastructure acceleration”, because network revenue is now growing directly from ai-driven video processing workloads. seeing +131% growth in ai fees in q3 proves this pivot isn’t just a narrative, the protocol’s economic engine has genuinely shifted toward ai. - short-term market pressure is strong, lpt is down ~12% on the week, and technical indicators (rsi 36, negative macd, price sitting on the lower band) place it in edgen’s momentum model as “short-term bearish continuation.” however, the fact that the entire lpt supply is already in circulation gives it a massive advantage in edgen supply risk score: zero vesting zero unlocks zero future token emissions - no competitors in its category (theta, filecoin) have this luxury, which is why lpt’s fdv/mc ratio aligns more closely with true market pricing. meanwhile, the ai altnet on arbitrum is scaling quickly, showing that livepeer has moved far beyond its old “low-volume, traditional video transcode” era. qoq revenue acceleration is pushing the project rapidly upward. - on the risk side, edgen’s data is clear: deep cex liquidity, high wallet concentration, and competition from filecoin + theta all create long-term pressure. and the u.s. regulatory overhang (especially after the lbry case) is still a real factor. even so, ai-driven revenue growth keeps lpt firmly in $edgen “high volatility but fundamentally improving” class. short-term weakness may continue, but if ai subnet revenue momentum holds, edgen models see medium-term pricing power emerging for lpt. $LPT @EdgenTech $BTC
