A big Rock Slide timesave was recently discovered that also removes NPS' worst split and improves early-game's pacing a lot. While 59 isn't the 10/10 run I wanted it to be, at the end of the day, I still achieved the first ever 59 in my favorite category

speedrunners: if you could instantly learn one game/category without needing to go through the trouble, what would it be and why? you would be able to do a run all the way through, but would need to practice more to get good

After killing every category in 2023, I fully focussed on 100% to kill the category and game. It took 8 months and 140 streams, but I did it. I think I can finally put the game to rest

@Finnii4 Personally when that happens it’s hard not to think “dude I know if my run can PB or not, why do you think I’m continuing the run” but tbf they’re probably just trying to encourage you, so they say something that to them means “you’ve got this”

Sometimes i get mad cuz people are telling someone who's been running the game for multiple years (not talking about myself here) "the run is fine, u can still pb" Honest question: do u think it's just me being weird or even aggressive or is it understandable ?

@dopezzera I was on the roml and in the final split my 360 controller disconnected. The batteries weren’t used much, and looking back at it I’m pretty sure the battery pack was just loose. Either way the controller wouldn’t work and my run died

Really good run. I was on 2:23 pace until Rub a Dub 2 but I didn't even know that time was possible beforehand. I think I can put this category to rest for a bit

@ThaRixer These two categories are my highest. I'd estimate 24-25k for all categories combined. Resets are normally about 6-7s until 3 1/2 mins in, then they become more like 45s

Ayo how many resets do you have in your main game? I'm at like 30000 - 35000 in Jak 3 maybe Ratchet 1 maybe around 20000

Never thought I'd see the day where 1:01 was possible in this category. 59 will definitely happen one day

@tawqmo Thank you for this. If that run stayed rejected, it would set a bad example and we’d slowly see more runs get rejected for ridiculous reasons

Just wanted to share that the situation has been resolved. If anyone has anything to say/add/discuss I'm open for conversation here or Discord, privately or publicly. Probably won't respond today. Have spent 5 hours talking, thinking, and reading about this.

@JThompson8215 Runs often get removed on SRC for stuff like splicing, so I don't understand how "FUCK THE US SUPREME COURT" can be put on the same level. Ironically, you've caused more backlash in the replies than the runner would likely ever get if you left them alone. This was the wrong call
