Our early investors at @focal_vc just launched the most amazing Winter 2026 Founder Residency where you get all the benefits of a top accelerator without the heavy dilution. Can highly recommend applying at focal.vc/residency Ping me for a referral.

𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭: Winter 2026 Residency for Technical Founders at Inception! This winter, we’re bringing together 10 hardcore AI builders for an exclusive residency in Miami with all the firepower of a top accelerator without the heavy dilution! This is the most talent-dense, high-velocity, carefully curated launchpad for technical AI founders outside SF to start a venture scale company - AND you get to escape the harsh winter while you ship! The 3+ month residency - hosted in partnership with The LAB Miami - is hyper selective (10 startups only), highly intense (6+ days / week in office) and fully in person (Miami relocation required / costs offset). Plus you get mentored by unicorn founders including Digital Ocean ($4B NYSE), Mural ($2B), Papa ($1B), vLex (acquired for $1B), Quicknode ($1B), Spotnana ($1B), and many more. The best part: There’s no “too early” - apply with nothing more than your drive to build a venture scale company, your idea, and the ability to ship exceptional products at breakneck speed. Applications just opened - apply at focal.vc/residency to start in Jan 2026! 𝐏𝐒: 𝐓𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫, 𝐭𝐚𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞’𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. @focal_vc

Launch GPT-4.5 with an API price of $150/million tokens, then give it out free to all copilot users. Incredible anti-competitive strategy… … except that there are better coding models for 100x less cost 🤦‍♂️ github.blog/changelog/2025…

The future of AI coding will not be one size fits all. The IDE loved by principle engineers working on large teams Is not the same IDE loved by the builders of tomorrow Choose your users carefully If you strive to please everyone, you’ll end up pleasing no one

Going from employment → solopreneurship is an adjustment. At a company, you receive immediate validation & stackable wins. Because you've been habituated to positive feedback, you expect success to come faster than it does once you go out on your own. It's humbling when it doesn't. What sets you apart at a company isn't guaranteed to make you special on your own. Grinding through the moments without validation is what separates those who make it from those who turn back to easy wins.

Anyone using GPT-4o-mini API from OpenAI? I like the price, but I think I want a more intelligent model. I've been looking at DeepSeek V3, does anyone have any suggestions?
