Congratulations Abbie, Lauren and Yvonne on completing your NHS Grampian placements! Great to hear how much of a difference you've made to the patients this last year. Looking forward to seeing you all in September for the final year of your @AbdnLifeScience MSCi degrees!

I sketch cities. I'm attempting to sketch every city in the UK 🤓 I'm about to finish #Aberdeen it has taken an age - COVID took a big bite. Aberdeen is on the up, a gem of a place, some of the most astronomically beautiful buildings I have ever seen. 🤓

Image 1: Cells grown in 100% sports drink with 10% FBS. Image 2: same, but 90:10 drink:DMEM. Most of the cell are unhappy, but some are very much alive in 100%. In 90%? Totally happy. Will do live/dead staining tomorrow so they'll have had a full 48 hours.

We joke that DMEM is fancy Gatorade.... So how much DMEM can you replace with Gatorade before cells die? Lets find out!

The sunniest place in the UK in winter 2024 was the Moray coast, with upwards of 220 hours. BUT, winter has 2184 hours, meaning that just 10% of the total hours had sun. Spare a thought for Lochaber & Glen Coe, though, where the sun shone just 3.7% of the total hours.

SOARS - Specialist Older Adults & Rehab Service
To share the healing power of live music, @MiHCUK visited Stroke Rehabilitation Unit to give our patients their very own concert. Research shows live music can heal and even the tapping of a finger is natural physiotherapy. Music can also evoke beautiful memories🎸🎶@NHSGrampian
