"I don't write fluff!" I overheard one author say at a recent bookfair. Scribes, what exactly is 'fluff' in book terms? From her tone, it sounded like a v. bad thing. (I'm worried I might write it! Fluff? Moi!) Is it really bad? Gimme!

Writers: I need your help. I'm looking for a traditional British name that's perhaps uniquely British. It should fit a character who's rather stuffy, private and humorous but doesn't know it, someone who is loved, but also laughed at for his quirks. Can you name that character?
