Çin kaynağı Han-shu: -Mete'nin Çinlilere karşı savaşında 300.000 askere sahip olduğunu söyler -Sonra Hun nüfusunun Han'ın bir ili kadar bile olmadığını söyler (Han'ın bir ili = 500-600 bin kişi) Ne de olsa Çinliler kendilerinden 10 kat küçük bir orduya yenilmiş olamazlar...

Çinlilerle Türkler arasındaki savaşları okudukça taraflı dil her zaman kahkaha attırtıyor. Önce Çinliler birkaç yüz akıncıya karşı kazandıkları zaferleri övüne övüne anlatıyorlar sonra da Türkleri hediyelerle yatıştırdıklarını.

Çin yıllıklarında tarihçi "İmparatorluk ordusu barbarları yatıştırdı" deyip üç satır sonra "Sınır boylarındaki eyaletlerin vergileri sıfırlandı, halk güneye göç etti ve kağana gönderilecek ipek miktarı artırıldı" notunu düştüyse anlarız ki Çin aslında savaşı kaybetmiştir,

During World War II, the U.S. blockaded supply routes to Japanese-held Guadalcanal. The Japanese responded by using small fast boats—and even gasoline drums—to sneak in minuscule amounts of troops and military supplies every time. The Americans called it the 'Guadalcanal Rat Express.' Fast-forward eighty years, and we're seeing a Japanese-branded sequel to the 'Rat Express': two Japanese nationals have just been detained by Chinese customs for trying to smuggle rare-earth minerals out of China and into Japan.

Imagine bringing a Nazi flag to the World Cup. That’s how many people in East Asia feel about the Rising Sun Flag. Yet Japanese fans still displayed it in the stadium.

I'm convinced that you're Chinese, right? Japan, after the war, provided Southeast Asia, China, and South Korea with support on a scale China cannot begin to match—massive aid, interest-free loans, and development assistance. China alone received ODA from Japan on the scale of roughly 30 billion dollars. Some of the infrastructure China now boasts about—including parts of its high-speed rail development, parts of the skyscraper projects in Shanghai, the Chongqing monorail, and the Beijing subway—was built with Japanese assistance. Learn that before you start talking big. And remember this too: there was even a man who openly said he was grateful for Imperial Japan’s invasion. He could not unify mainland China by his own strength and spent World War II hiding in the mountains growing opium. After the war, he told Japanese prime ministers and representatives that he was in Beijing thanks to Imperial Japan’s invasion. And one more thing: Japan has officially apologized many times. Read the Murayama Statement.

🇯🇵 | Japanese football fans are right now a reason for outrage, especially among East Asians. Following the latest win by Japan at the ongoing FIFA World Cup against Tunesia, Japanese fans inside the stadium but also in Tokyo have displayed the “Rising Sun” flag used by Imperial Japan. For East Asians and Southeast Asians, the Japanese imperial flag symbolizes some of the most notorious crimes imaginable. Under the Rising Sun flag, Japanese forces occupied, colonized, plundered, and killed tens of millions of people. While only some people raised the imperial flag at today’s celebrations, thousands of others were seen celebrating next to it seemingly unbothered at Shibuya Crossing in the Japanese capital. Japan has been repeatedly criticized by victim nations of its imperial era for never having been actively cleansed of its fascist elements or having paid significant reparations.

Mutuals won't like this but I like China more than Japan. Their culture, history and legacy is much more interesting to me. I mean if you think about it, China is the Rome of East Asia in terms of the sheer impact of their civilization.
