In past 2 weeks I was dropped at the door of BCH Tower Block, Belfast. Made my way to the 11th Floor. A nurse walked me down to my family 5 days later after a second kidney transplant. Again indebted to a donor, their family & the magnificent BCH multi-disciplinary renal team.

I feel sorry for the young US troops on their way to the stupidest war I’ve witnessed. They’ll be maimed & killed & will achieve nothing for their country or humanity. And their elected officials don’t seem to care enough to do anything to protect them from their President.

Dealing death is much more antiseptic when you are thousands of miles away; you don't actually understand what it is you do, see a young man's head exploding, smell burnt flesh, comprehend the thousands of individual tragedies. Farrell, Liam. Are You the F**king Doctor?

This is just vile. If Reform Ltd get anywhere near power they will subsume everything to their own needs, regardless of human rights or legality.
Don McGowan@donmcgowan

Just in case anyone missed it, yesterday, Reform UK took a local Ipswich artist's work, plagiarised it with Ai and posted it as their own. So instead of artist, @louisecobbold79 having her art proudly displayed for being on the match day programme, Farage has hijacked her limelight. As he does … with everything. It's utterly shameful and should be called out for what it is … IP theft. @IpswichTown and @ITFCWomen should publicly condemn this.

Spoke to my family today - all refused to talk to you. You then started hunting down random "anon" relatives. People are holding your shit rag accountable. You've not just "touched a nerve." You've absolutely spurred on a movement ready to take on the Daily Mail. Congrats.
Nicole Lampert@nicolelampert

You’d think the leader of a political party would have better things to do than continuing to send hatred in my direction. My story, in which his family expressed fears about the dangerously Jew-hating place the Greens are going to, appears to have touched a nerve. Because he knows it’s true. That’s why he’s attacking me and the paper I wrote it for. But he cannot attack the story itself.

Ciara Breen sat beside her Ma Bernadette in a café in Dundalk on the 12th of February 1997. Her mother didnt realise her 17 year old daughter was about to vanish in a few hours. They returned home watched a film, and went to bed shortly after midnight. At around 2:00AM, Ciaras mam awoke and discovered her daughter was gone. The ground-floor bedroom window was left unlatched. She had left her coat and money behind. Gardaí treated the teenagers disappearance with urgency and quickly linked her case with the so-called “Vanishing Triangle.” For years Liam Mullen, a local in his early 30s at the time of Ciara’s disappearance stood at the heart of the investigation. Witnesses claimed he had spoken with Ciara the day before she vanished and that they may have arranged to meet that night. Her mother Bernadette was alarmed by his interest in her daughter and had once confronted him in their yard, warning him off. Mullen was arrested in 1999 and again in 2015, the second arrest triggered by renewed tips and witness statements, yet on both occasions he was released without charge for lack of evidence. Files were prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. Mullen mysteriuosly died in Garda custody in 2017 after being detained on unrelated charges, reportedly after ingesting a substance before being taken to Dundalk Garda Station. Local sources also suggested Ciara may have fallen into the orbit of unsavory "older men" known in the area as a predatory group targeting vulnerable teens. While never substantiated in court, these suspicions persist in the community. Decades later two anonymous letters featuring fresh information prompted a major search in Balmer’s Bog, a marshland off the Ardee Road on the edge of Dundalk yet no human remains were found. Ciara Breens mother carried the weight of uncertainty for over two decades, dying in the hope of closure she never received. She appealed publicly for information until her death in January 2018. My kid left yesterday for Iran. Before we hung up, he wanted to discuss his life insurance policy. He’s 19. It gutted me. War isn’t a joke. It’s not something C rate celebs should be making controversial statements about for attention. Shame on you @EW for running this drivel.

Former PMs can claim up to £115,000 p.a to cover office/secretarial costs arising from their position in public life. Truss claimed £23,310 between resignation in Nov ‘22 & March ‘23. In ‘24/25, she claimed £97,152. Is she using our taxes to spout lies about the UK in the USA?
Damian Low@DamianLow3

Just a former Prime Minister spouting lies about her own country in the USA for money. Taking money to undermine her own country’s reputation abroad when she still has privileges paid by the UK taxpayer is outrageous. Plastic patriot.
