We've had a great July with 130 players attend our 3 camps. The best part of summer is seeing how much players improve in just 1 week. Between our on-court training, leadership development, and film study, our summer camps are one of the best places for players to develop.

Player development is not rocket science. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel or over-complicate it. The game is simple, so your training should be too. Rep what happens in games from the spots they occur. Make players be intentional and move w/ purpose. Results > Likes

This past weekend 10 of our FV Elite players won MVP's & All-Stars at all 4 tiers of the Sr Boys Eastern Valley Championships. Which is over 40% of awards coming from FV Elite! An amazing accomplishment and speaks to the work ethic and commitment of players in our program.

This is a masterclass of how to handle adversity! What a life lesson. To choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances.

Watching college games today - Big takeaways for perimeter players to improve on: 1) Maintaining posture & balance on drives to the rim 2) Forceful & Consistent footwork on player movement 3s 3) Ball Placement on Rip Drives - shoulder to shoulder or hip to hip.

Don’t Major In the Minors Minors: Stepbacks, fadeaways, complicated dribble combos Majors: Catch & shoots, finishes through contact, decisions (off ball, on the catch, on the drive, at the rim) Spend MORE TIME in your workouts on the things that happen MOST OFTEN in games.

Is there a difference between coaching for development and coaching to win? When talking development., limiting what a player is allowed to do can help them focus on the things they can do but does it take away future possibilities and motivation to improve?
