it is very sad that one of the earliest character defining moments of Linda is her makeup artist going "let's lighten your skin so white people can be more comfortable around you" and that's literally what has happened to her. Not by malice, just negligence.

Green Lantern is arguably the biggest cosmic superhero comic of all time
You shouldn't be surprised if people wanted to see them in space and especially as Green Lantern animated series shows it can defiantly work

But Lanterns should be space fantasy with all the cool CGI shit and outer space adventure. Last time they did that, they had to retire the IP for decades. Not to mention the bad press for years by Ryan Reynolds. This is the reintroduction of the buried IP to general audience and imo is the best possible way.
