Today, I wrote an arbitrary precision adder that can add arbitrarily large numbers, we are talking about numbers with 100's of digits. I used it to add 100 numbers which were 50 digits each, the whole thing just took around 0.05 ms to calculate. The code is written in C.

It's crazy how a change of perspective can sometimes give you a efficient solution. Instead of asking every number "Are you prime?", we flip the script: "Which numbers are definitely NOT prime?". calculating all primes below 1 million: brute force: 30 - 40 sec now: < 1 sec
