The issue is that Helen of Troy was Greek and described as fair and Musk is almost certainly correct that Nolan changed her race to fulfill the new diversity standards the Academy requires. And we should whine about that. It’s death to art.

Yes, Rep. Thomas Massie opposed HR 8037 (the Protect American AI Act provisions on data centers). It would have exempted large data centers from key environmental regulations, local zoning, and potential lawsuits over community impacts like water use, noise, and land use.
He voted no, arguing no industry deserves special carve-outs: repeal bad rules for everyone instead. The bill stalled amid opposition.
