A lot of sh*t being thrown at Alfie Doughty by MFC & CAFC fans. Won’t change my opinion. If truth is known he made more contribution to our recent success than almost anyone. Put himself on the line - often when clearly not fit. Best chance creator in the PL 23/24 says it all.

@DougieCritchley I thought the whole point of having the massive squads assembled in the prem was to let players get a rest now and again. Managers complain about the schedule but they have the chance to let people have a week off at most times if they want to, to keep the player fresh for longer

Premier League disciples will have you believe that the only reason we can’t play this level of football is because our schedule is too intense and the players are too tired. That might be a contributing factor, but I’m afraid we also have to acknowledge that, as much as I love players like Rice, Caicedo, Saka, Palmer, James, Semenyo etc… the list goes on… they just aren’t quite at the same level. Which is fine, we’re talking about THE BEST players in the world. But we as Premier League fans do have a tendency to overrate players playing in England, particularly if they’re English!

Diaz isn’t better than before but he looks better at Bayern because his endless running has Olise, Kimmich, Kane passing quality to hit him earlier in the open spaces. He is better like this than when he is locked to the touch-line. Last season: 1. This role was rightly designated for Salah and 2. Liverpool only had Trent to do this to a world class level. The fit for Diaz with the other players at Bayern has been spot on perfect.

@KayLFC05_ @PremLeaguePanel Kimmich has been one of the top three midfielders for a very very long time. Extremely underrated, and a prime example of how players not playing in the prem (or at Real/Barca) is overlooked when discussing the absolute elite. Liverpool's midfield is good, but not amazing.

@PremLeaguePanel Essentially Liverpool’s midfield is below par and has been for years because not one of them can feed him the way Kimmich does. Even Kane is a far better passer than Mac/Dom/Grav
