The amazing event came to an end with the path breaking outcomes and adoption of New Delhi Declaration. #UNCCDCOP14 has been a journey that will become a reminiscence of how nations came together to make a global impact on the environment.

On the closing ceremony of #UNCCDCOP14, @ibrahimthiaw, Executive Secretary @UNCCD, expressed his gratitude for vision and wisdom granted by the host country. He shared his contentment with the President #COP14, Shri @PrakashJavdekar and believes to continue to work together.

New Delhi Declaration got adopted in #UNCCDCOP14. The implementation of HLS summaries & decisions that were taken during sessions & contemplative meetings were held. Shri @PrakashJavdekar, President #COP14 concluded the conference with hopeful statement- "Ending with Resolve."

The President of #COP14, Shri @PrakashJavdekar took the opportunity to convey his heartfelt thanks to the distinguished assembly of delegates. They mentioned the teams of @moefcc, @ficci_india, @IndiaExpoCentre & every individual who have contributed to the success of #UNCCDCOP14

Shri @PrakashJavdekar supervised the official proceedings in which the distinguished delegates took part in formalizing the New Delhi Declaration. The overview of the draft decisions were put to discussion in front of the representatives of the parties.

The committee of the whole initiated the draft proposal process in the presence of the distinguished delegates. The draft decision were finalized after collective agreement of the committee members.

Mr @ibrahimthiaw, shared the four important takeaways today: * Invincible link between Climate & Biodiversity * Business contribution towards environment protection * Climate change needs to be addressed to avoid severe droughts & floods * Inclusion of People and the community

Mr Jigmet Takpa, Joint Secretary @moefcc, addressed a meeting to discuss crucial environmental concerns and livelihood insecurities. India plans to improve its Forest Cover & restore vast tracts of degraded land as per the ambitious target 2030.

The closing day witnessed final press conference and sessions to conclude a highly productive 11-Day Global meet. In the closing ceremony, New Delhi Declaration got adopted which incorporates frameworks and work programme decided during 2-13 September of #UNCCDCOP14

An interactive session with Mr Anil Kumar Jain, Special Secretary @moefcc, explored the possibility of adopting new technology. He emphasised on the importance of preparing the integrated nexus model for the suggested solution before investing to rectify the limitations.

The series of meetings by CoW continues. Mr Jigmet Takpa, Joint Secretary @moefcc & National Focal Point @UNCCD, India, discussed major implementation of the convention with delegates. Follow-up on the policy framework & drafting of proposal on thematic issues were accomplished.

Key Members & distinguished delegates held a meeting on the programme and budget for the biennium 2020-2021 on the sidelines of #UNCCDCOP14 and actively participated in the discussion to define the roadmap of financial support that will be provided to accomplish the goals.
