[BCM Event] On 5 February 2026, the UNCCD–Business4Land Dialogue with Mongolian Business Leaders was held in Ulaanbaatar, co-organised by the Business Council of Mongolia (BCM), the UNCCD, and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia.

I held a meeting with Ms. Yasmine Fouad, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, to exchange views on the progress of preparations for the forthcoming COP17 conference.

On 3 February, the Board of Directors of the Business Council of Mongolia (BCM) and the BCM COP17 Business4Land Advisory Council hosted a dinner meeting with H.E. Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).

On 5 February 2026, the UNCCD–Business4Land Dialogue with Mongolian Business Leaders was held in Ulaanbaatar, co-organised by The Business Council of Mongolia (BCM), the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia.

Land degradation affects up to 40% of the world's land. Restoring 150 million hectares, an area the size of #Mongolia, could secure food for 200 million people. #UNCCDCOP17 will drive practical, investable solutions to scale up restoration where it is needed most. #UNited4Land
