The Rotaract Club of HPNLU, Shimla, in collaboration with Y20 India and MUNity International, organized a Model G20 conference during India's G20 presidency, marking a significant event in Himachal Pradesh. The event included a panel discussion known as Y20 Talks with Ms. Drishti Rawal, Secretary(Policy and Research) and Mr. Shourya Mehra, Associate from Y20 India Secretariat, Dr. Mrityunjay Kumar, and Dr. Hari Chand from HPNLU. They discussed the Y20 Communique and India's role in the G20 presidency. Around 120 students from HPNLU attended. The central theme of the Model G20 was "Peace Building and Reconciliation: Ushering in an Era of No War," aligning with the Y20's goals. Fifty university delegates actively participated in discussions and negotiations, leading to a consensus on various aspects of the agenda. The event was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal, and Hon’ble Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) S.S. Jaswal, emphasizing the university's commitment to academic excellence and global issue dialogue.

Advancing a more inclusive G20 that echoes the aspirations of the Global South! PM @narendramodi extends a heartfelt welcome to President @_AfricanUnion and the President of Comoros Azali Assoumani. Thrilled to have the African Union as a permanent member. A milestone for the G20 family indeed. The African Union (AU) was admitted as a new member of the G20 on Saturday (September 9), barely three months after India floated the idea of including the organisation. The development took place at the ongoing 18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit in New Delhi.

The Event started off with a model Youth Parliament followed by an Y20 Talk on the theme of Shared future: Youth in democracy and governance. The chief guest at the event was Sri Ajit Chavan . ICAR-NRC, Nagaland, organised a one-day workshop on "Unleashing Creativity through Intellectual Property Rights of North East India" on 23th August'23 The event was attended by Research Scholars from St. Joseph University and Nagaland University, as well as scientists from ICAR-NRC and ICAR-Research Complex Centre for Northeast Region.
