'South Asia' is a modern term widely used today, often to frame ancient Hindu cultural heritage as Pakistani or Bangladeshi. I prefer using 'the Indian subcontinent,' which sounds more India- and Hindu-centric.

@RelativelyMS The history of India doesn't begin with the Mughal invasion or Muslim Culture, so neither does the history of Hyderabad.

@Indian_WA No such thing as Hindu culture. Every region inherited culture from the people it was ruled by. For ex: Hyderabad Deccan culture is completely Muslim because nizam of Hyderabad developed your culture. None of hyderabadi cuisine and attires are Hindu they are all Muslims.
