NSR Indiana Scouting

My time at the Motor City Classic in Detroit came to an abrupt end today after I was hit in the face by a pitch. I was knocked unconscious and, for a short period of time, could not feel my arms. This weekend had already been challenging for me at the plate, but I was looking forward to continuing to compete, making adjustments, and finishing strong before everything came to an unexpected end. I’m including a couple of my hits from the weekend, along with the video of the pitch that ended my tournament. Thankfully, I have since been released from the hospital and was diagnosed with a concussion. I will see a neurologist on Monday to determine the next steps in my recovery. I truly appreciate everyone who reached out to check on me and my parents. Your prayers, messages, and support mean more than you know. I am praying there is nothing more serious and that I can safely return for my final tournament next weekend once I am medically cleared. A college coach had contacted me to say he was planning to come watch me play, so I am obviously disappointed, but my health and recovery have to come first. This is a setback, but it will not define me. My team and I won the LP4U Stars and Stripes tournament this past weekend! I had a pretty good weekend at the plate and in the field. I batted .483 with a .545 OBP, 1.097 OPS, with 14 hits, 7 runs, and 4 rbi’s.
