The southern part of India, in general, is way ahead in economic terms and to some extent in social parameters compared to North India. Fact. However it is beyond my logical mind how comparatively educated and higher IQ folks have so much blind affection toward film actors that they treat mere actors like gods. C-graded movies like RRR, Pushpa, KGF, Kantara, Robot are getting so much fan following. Then add cringeworthy behavior in foreign land. Bringing a life size cutout of Rajnikant in American movie theaters, garlanding it with much fanfare, breaking coconut - all in front of the American movie theater. Now this life size idol of NTR. Man, do we Indians have any sanity? Or have we just become braindead? Education, degrees, job titles, wealth - nothing matters if our intellectual capability cannot grow at the same pace.

I posted this today where I criticized Indian dowry/marriage law for being overtly anti-men. Surprise. Surprise. I did not find a single woman who liked it (going by DP name). However, when I support women in their fight against patriarchy, they like it first. And many men like it too. Same pattern in Hindu-Muslim discussions. 99% of the time I attack Sanghis and backward Hindu customs. Muslims immediately like and retweet it. Along with them many many Hindus like and amplify my tweet. However during that rest 1%, when I attack Islam (or Christianity), I almost never find a Muslim (or a Christian) amplifying my tweet. Almost never. Maybe one or two Muslims among my follower base likes it. That's it. Have you ever wondered why is that? What is the issue here? Are you not full of intolerance (and hypocrisy)? The same thing that you selectively hate when Sanghis or men do it?

100% true. And it is just stupidity of being proud of something where I have no significant contribution in the outcome. At the most I can be happy about my country. Similarly I can be happy or unhappy being part of a religion or a community. There is nothing to be proud of. I can only be proud of my own achievements. That too in limit. Otherwise it becomes arrogance.

I’m NOT proud of my country ANYMORE. Indians elected a government that ignored every basic need of our people and prioritised election , PR and HATE politics instead.

Indian judicial system is a joke. In the case of dowry/marriage related law, basic assumption is men are devils and women are saints. This basic assumption itself is the invitation of twisting the law. Men are guilty until proven innocent. Women are innocent until proven otherwise.

Two main reasons why India didn’t initiate mediation between the USA and Iran: 1) Donald Trump is unpredictable, the situation could turn embarrassing at any moment. 2) There was a high chance of failure. First, that draft tweet embarrassment… and now Iran refusing to accept the agreement, the so-called “peace talks” have eventually failed. Pakistan jumped in because embarrassment isn’t a big deal for them, and they continue to act like a shameless puppet of the USA, ready to do whatever is asked.
