Chowdeck was my brainchild. I put the concept together in 2017. At the time, there was barely anything like that in Ghana. I submitted it to the Ministry for Business Development. After my frustration over there, I had to walk to Parliament house with my then partner to take money from his sister, lest we slept on the street. One would ask how this is linked to Chowdeck. Well, I submitted an application to Y-Combinator the following year. I was a "small boy" who didn't really understand the VC industry. The name on my submission was CHOWDEY. That word Chow is an English word but it's used in Ghanaian pidgin. It's not a thing in Nigerian lexicon. So I definitely know that was my baby. But I'm not bothered. After 9 years, I don't think the company has done exactly as I envisioned the technology. I was thinking something deeper than just delivery. Anyway 😁. When I conceived it, I added exactly how the mapping should be done. I wrote them in ink on pink sheets. I wish them the best. Africa must succeed!
