We should not give a wannabe tyrant, Donald Trump, the tools of tyranny. Today, I led opposition to a bill that would recklessly impose a death penalty on any nonprofit and civil society group in America that is on his enemies list. I was successful in stopping the bill tonight, when a 2/3 vote was required, but undoubtably it will be back because Trump’s thirst for unlimited power can never be quenched.
