The numbers do not show him struggling the last week. He just hit .500 in the series against the Nats. What you are saying is that in the last 7 games he looks bad on paper. But you can’t say that about the last 8 games, or the last 6 games. Or the last series, or the last 2 series. Specifically, the only way to make him look bad is to use 7 games. That’s pretty disingenuous.

Riley needs a day or a week off. Just put the ball in play.
