The two-party system has led us to the precipice of disaster just as George Washington warned way back in 1797. That is the only time the gun is removed. And Alex never touched it. They then yelled, “he has a gun!” and shot him, while he was completely unarmed. Alex never drew his firearm. Alex never threatened anyone. Alex never even tried to reach for it as he was being violent assaulted. He was not a threat, he was unarmed, and they shot him… And they kept firing into his motionless, unarmed body. They executed a U.S. citizen for legally carrying a firearm.

Police are tired. ICE agents are tired. And most importantly, Minnesotans are exhausted. That’s a recipe for disaster. Mike Newcome has been invited on @NewsNation three times in the past few days to make a simple case: it’s time to pause, lower the temperature, and set egos and partisan point-scoring aside for the good of our state.

@bloisolson Not likely. The MN Independence Party imploded over a decade ago and the single issue weed parties have nothing left to run on. This highly polarized environment between Ds and Rs is lethal for third parties.
