Play Sun/Moon for the story, USUM for the content. For me USUM wins out since it feels like the last truly complete Pokémon game

If Pokopia had a mode à la My Pokémon Ranch I think it could’ve been a great supplement to Champions, if you want to battle with your old Pokémon to send them to Champs, then move them to Pokopia to interact with them. As it stands it looks cool but I’m not personally interested

Before its release, I remember hearing something along the lines of HOME including more features to interact with your mons. Maybe this is what they were alluding to, in which case it’s a real shame that it didn’t pan out

@linkkling @BTSButterfly21 But the problem there is that, by making it optional, how do you balance the game? Should you do it around the exp share being active or not? That's probably why is now permanent, so they don't have to deal with that.

the quotes on this are the most toxic i've ever gotten and for WHAT. grinding does not equal difficulty. you are not better or more valid of a pokemon fan for having not used the exp share. god forbid someone prefers modern convenience in their kids' game

i don't think i've ever gotten a good explanation of how to play pokemon without the exp share... like i know it involves switch training and rearranging your team all the time and farming exp from chanseys but i just don't get why people prefer that. it's so inconvenient

True, but at the same time I would love a Chatot for a partner if Pokemon were real. It isn’t my favorite but it *is* the most practical for musicians

I feel like some pokémon have kinda been stereotyped to belong to certain types of trainers. You want a Bellossom? Then you must be a dancer! You want a Smeargle? Then you must be an illustrator! I kinda want to see ocs that break that pattern...

after streamlining routes and cutting back on unavoidable battles, of course the always on exp share feels revolutionary.
you can see this with BDSP's exp share implementation to a game that was built with no exp share and how that shifted the actual pacing of the game.
