Located in the Rio Viejo sub-catchment of the Cangrejal, this area had been heavily #deforested. Not only has the application of Inga agroforestry and mineral supplementation brought renewed fertility, but there is also a marked increase in #biodiversity!

On-the-ground update from Honduras! These maize plants represent hope for Snr. Cabrera and his family. Growing in a heavily burned area previously recognised as sterile, their lush colour and size are proof of the transformative potential of the Inga Method.

Today it's exactly 10 years ago since I founded @TheOceanCleanup - yikes! Am extremely grateful for all of you that helped to get us to where we are today. The previous decade was about developing the solutions; the next decade is about getting the job done.

The choice is clear: continue down the path of destruction, or embrace #regenerative agriculture and protect our planet for future generations.

Far too much nature conservation is about what we think we *can* do Rather than what we *need* to do to avoid ecological disaster

Food security, #poverty reduction, #ClimateChange mitigation, #biodiversity regeneration, epidemic risk reduction. These are just some of the positives that can be delivered when we encourage and facilitate sustainable food production!

Smallholder farmers hold the key to feeding the world while protecting the planet. Let's empower them to make a difference.
