@AvelingArtworks @IngaFoundation The African context is very different to Latin America, but there are some species that can perform a similar function. I’ll put you in touch!

Focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)! We're proud that the Inga Model ticks 15 of the UN's 17 #SDGs. Because of the increased efficiency of this agroforestry method, it negates the need to burn...and leaves more space available for regeneration!

We say enough. A food system that relies on oppression and insecurity of farmers in the #GlobalSouth must become a thing of the past. We can - and must - do better.

There are two things we need to act on urgently: 🏭 Dramatically reduce emissions we're producing 🌱 Rapidly restore natural carbon sinks The obstacle isn't money or knowledge. It's desire. news.mongabay.com/2023/02/carbon…

Biodiversity collapse and climate breakdown disproportionately impact the poorest populations across the globe. Action isn't a choice. It's an obligation.

Located in the Rio Viejo sub-catchment of the Cangrejal, this area had been heavily #deforested. Not only has the application of Inga agroforestry and mineral supplementation brought renewed fertility, but there is also a marked increase in #biodiversity!

On-the-ground update from Honduras! These maize plants represent hope for Snr. Cabrera and his family. Growing in a heavily burned area previously recognised as sterile, their lush colour and size are proof of the transformative potential of the Inga Method.

Hope and equality are central to sustainability! With 70% of people in Honduras living in #poverty, our focus goes beyond sustainability. The work we do provides #foodsecurity, a stable income, creates work and addresses issues on gender equality. #WorldDayOfSocialJustice

Today it's exactly 10 years ago since I founded @TheOceanCleanup - yikes! Am extremely grateful for all of you that helped to get us to where we are today. The previous decade was about developing the solutions; the next decade is about getting the job done.

The choice is clear: continue down the path of destruction, or embrace #regenerative agriculture and protect our planet for future generations.

Far too much nature conservation is about what we think we *can* do Rather than what we *need* to do to avoid ecological disaster

Food security, #poverty reduction, #ClimateChange mitigation, #biodiversity regeneration, epidemic risk reduction. These are just some of the positives that can be delivered when we encourage and facilitate sustainable food production!

Slash and burn agriculture is a destructive practice that not only contributes to #ClimateChange, but also threatens the economic sustainability of communities. It's time to end this devastating practice and embrace #regenerative alternatives.

Did you know… 43 million people globally are at risk of falling into famine or a severe hunger crisis. #FoodSecurity can be achieved within two years of establishing Inga alley cropping. We're proud of providing #hope for so many farmers and their families! 🎥: @scriberian

@JMBecologist Engagement is absolutely key. Government support is essential, but if people on the ground don't feel heard and the solutions don't make their lives easier, then failure is inevitable. We're busy doing this work in Honduras!

Many, many papers & reports by ecologists on how to solve the biodiversity crisis But how many give thought to how we actually make these solutions happen?
