.@NYCMayor please turn this horrible vacant lot by queensboro plaza into affordable housing or at least a park or something that actually serves the people of queens!

@Collin_Alli @nypost Who would you say pays the highest percentage of the taxes in NYC. Hint hint it’s not us bottom feeders
English

@nypost Not the luxury real estate! Oh no! Millions of people can’t even afford a 1 bedroom apt

Manhattan luxury real estate market plummets after Mamdani pied-à-terre tax goes into effect trib.al/BZNlP5t

English

@Don_Navis @bkedrollsnyc @MikeCrispi Doesn’t matter. People have been leaving NYC since and his policies won’t help reverse that
English

Zohran Mamdani said he’d freeze the rent…
NYC Rent just hit an all time high.
Zohran said he’d tax the rich…
The rich simply left (11 billion in tax revenue gone).
Zohran said the transportation would be free…
Subway fares just increased by 20% last week.
Imagine being the IDIOTS who voted for this.

@77WABCradio If millionaires have been leaving, who has carried the burden of the tax
English

@Yorami68 @MikeCrispi Transfer of ownership. He literally told everyone what he was doing lol
English

@MikeCrispi This all done on purpose.
He wants to people to leave.
He want to take over the city that Americans build for 250 years and make it Muslim.
Once you understand that this is a big plan taking city by city. Once they come to your neighborhood people start to leave. Look at Europe
English

@bkedrollsnyc @MikeCrispi Literally came out that millionaires have left and since Covid more people have left NYC than actually entered. NYC isn’t as great as some of you make it out to be. Who wants to pay all that taxes, quality of life sucks, your bang for your buck is terrible, crime is open door
English

@MikeCrispi LMAOOOO what rich left NYC tell me ur source lil bro

Proud that New York is one of 12 states suing to stop Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros.
This is not a merger that serves the public. It would hand one company nearly a third of the movies and cable channels Americans watch, raise prices for streaming and cable, endanger the livelihoods of thousands of New York artists and entertainment workers, and threaten to shutter theaters across our city.
New York's workers helped build this industry. They should not be sacrificed for the sake of further corporate consolidation.

@Polymarket $5295 a month to walk outside to a place smelling like piss and shit
English

@spencerpratt Mamdani already told everyone this when he said transfer of ownership. They are not even hiding it just banking on people not paying attention
English

They're not freezing your rent, they're freezing your housing providers' income, while their expenses keep increasing.
The point isn't to make your housing affordable, it's to make providing housing financially inviable, so government(s) can seize the unmanageable properties.
Our lack of financial literacy is going to destroy us.

@Lancegooden If you import more people demand goes up supply does not. Higher demand higher prices. What is so difficult to understand here

Zohran Mamdani on the campaign trail:
"The mayor has the power to freeze their rent. I’m saying I’m going to do that for four years."
Rents in NYC are now at an all-time high.
A socialist lied to get elected. Who would've thought?
Mark D. Levine@MarkLevineNYC
Rents in NYC have just hit an all-time high. Median market rate in June… Manhattan: $5,295/mo (+8.2% year-over-year) Brooklyn: $4,350 (+8.1%) NYC’s housing affordability crisis is at DefCon 1. We need to push harder on every front to address our housing shortage. Update zoning, invest more City $ in affordable units, lower the time & cost City bureaucracy imposes on construction, get 1000s of vacant regulated units back on the market. We need bold action. This is a crisis.

@MarkLevineNYC @MichaelRapaport You do know rent control causes rate increases for all the apartments not on rent control right?

@RealAmazingBlur @em_Lazzy People aren’t filming him lol. He & his team are filming him. I didn’t see anybody else in front of Ken griffins building, or opening a freezer, or struggling to shovel snow. If you’re trying to promote a system that has failed everytime in history you will find a way to spin it
English

@Ingenious2024 @em_Lazzy That's just a weird thing to say. How do you expect the mayor of NYC to go out and do something political in public without people wanting to film him? Whoever your favorite politician is, you could say that about them too, god forbid it's Trump, the biggest showman
English

@NYCMayor Just a thought, but how about leaving criminals in prison where they belong? Unless it's self defense, killers don't deserve a second chance. What's the point of laws, and having law abiden citizens, when criminals easily walk free and continue their criminal behavior? 🤷🤷

I am heartbroken for the family of the man who was killed last night at a basketball tournament in Harlem. This senseless violence must stop. New Yorkers deserve to spend the summer watching and playing sports, attending community events, and enjoying our public spaces — places where families, friends and neighbors joyfully gather, not where people are at risk of becoming victims to gun violence.
We are working closely with our community partners to provide services to those affected and the entire community. Our administration is using every lever across agencies to prevent further violence and ensure all New Yorkers can safely enjoy the city this summer.
