The point isn't to make your housing affordable, it's to make providing housing financially inviable, so government(s) can seize the unmanageable properties. We need to push harder on every front to address our housing shortage. Update zoning, invest more City $ in affordable units, lower the time & cost City bureaucracy imposes on construction, get 1000s of vacant regulated units back on the market. We need bold action. This is a crisis.

Videos like this make me like him more. Much better than the insider traders, the ones working to create two justice systems, the one focused on issues that general public. Then you have Mamdani on tape asking and defending the constitution.

@NYCMayor Just a thought, but how about leaving criminals in prison where they belong? Unless it's self defense, killers don't deserve a second chance. What's the point of laws, and having law abiden citizens, when criminals easily walk free and continue their criminal behavior? 🤷🤷

I am heartbroken for the family of the man who was killed last night at a basketball tournament in Harlem. This senseless violence must stop. New Yorkers deserve to spend the summer watching and playing sports, attending community events, and enjoying our public spaces — places where families, friends and neighbors joyfully gather, not where people are at risk of becoming victims to gun violence. 

We are working closely with our community partners to provide services to those affected and the entire community. Our administration is using every lever across agencies to prevent further violence and ensure all New Yorkers can safely enjoy the city this summer.
